New Drupal-based site

I finally got around to replacing the old (and nearly worthless) static page for StartPad.org - this site now uses Drupal (a PHP based CMS system).

This is my first experiment in using Drupal - so the site will look pretty rough for a while. Our hope is that, using this platform, we will be able to more easily provide some of the community features (forums, directory of service providers, directory of startups, etc.).

I am actually very familiar with Drupal (it just doesn't adapt very easily)

I use Wordpress, in fact all the items you want are available in WP. My company sets up platforms with forums, directories, and various other items. The amount of time to set it up in Drupal is a 10x multiplier. Let me know how Drupal works out for you.

Drupal is quite complex, I agree. I'm still falling down the "rabbit hole" (25 modules installed here so far).
