Jasmine Jamillah Mahmoud is dedicated to making emerging arts profitable, resource-rich and groundbreaking. She is the founder of HOMEMADE (www.homemadeseattle.com), an early-stage Seattle-based start-up that couples online media technology with the arts to pioneer a sustainable model for arts venues. Mahmoud, CEO and Founder, brings over seven years of curatorial, sound tech, entertainment marketing and service industry experience to HOMEMADE. She is a published arts journalist who holds a M.A. from NYU in Arts Politics and B.A. in Government from Harvard University, where she served as the Associate Editorial Chair of The Harvard Crimson. She is also a classical and rock musician who has played at Carnegie Hall and various New York City rock venues. She currently is the Music Director of Hot Grits, an all-black, all-female punk rock music play that is running at Re-Bar in downtown Seattle. Formerly, she worked at The Karpel Group, a marketing firm that represented Epic Records, Paramount Pictures and off-Broadway theater productions.
